The Detectives’ Endowment Association – Our Crime Fighters Stand with Frank, the One True and Sincere Anti-Crime Candidate in the 51st
New York City is facing a crisis, with Democrats in both City Hall, the council chambers and Albany, unwilling to address or even acknowledge crime in a direct and resolute manner. Though, both those New Yorkers who have been and are currently on the frontlines, keeping us safe, know who stands with law and order. Just this week, the Detectives’ Endowment Association which represents over 25,000 active and retired NYPD Detectives gave its endorsement for the 51st council district to Frank Morano. They join other groups of crime fighters, including the Sergeants Benevolent Association, NYS Supreme Court Officers Association, Brooklyn & Staten Island 10-13 Association, and the Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association in endorsing Frank, knowing that he is the only candidate, who will stand up for those who fight day and night to keep Staten Islanders safe.
In its endorsement, the DEA, spoke of what Frank represents at the core, “..a lifelong Staten Islander with a proven record of advocacy on the island” who has dedicated his “career toward ensuring quality of life, maintaining public safety and protecting the citizens of New York.” The DEA knows that Frank stands not just for Staten Island, but that his voice and vote is critical for the city overall in saying of Frank that they “trust that you will fight for our members and for New York City as a whole. We look forward to working closely and productively with you on any and all issues that affect law enforcement and organized labor.”
Frank has made law and order a key tenet of his campaign, with an organized, thought-out platform while his opponents offer only platitudes. The 51st council district is one of the safest in the city, and that is in no small part due to the devotion of those who stand day and night, putting themselves in harm’s way to keep us safe. Frank understands that maintaining a high level of safety, and making the South Shore a desirable place to live, is no small feat. Frank also understands that safety is a citywide issue, that every community should enjoy the same that we do, and that this issue must be addressed not only on the streets, but in the city council chamber as well. The support from the DEA and other law enforcement groups is evidence that he is the candidate who will stand side by side with those who keep not only our community safe, but the city as a whole.
