Mayor Adams says it’s “just a hotel”—but we know what’s coming next.

Mayor Eric Adams and City Hall are once again putting Staten Island last.

A property on Veterans Road West on the South Shore of Staten Island is being quietly converted into a so-called “transient hotel.” But anyone paying attention knows what that means: a shelter in disguise.

When asked about this site, Mayor Adams insisted it won’t become a shelter…

But then he admitted:

“The reality is we do have to build shelters.”

That’s the actual plan. A hotel today, a shelter tomorrow.
Thanks to his “City of Yes” scheme, City Hall has all the power to pass it—without your voice, vote, or consent.
