Staten Island’s congressional representative, Nicole Malliotakis declares her enthusiastic support for, and desire to work with the future Council Member from the 51st District, Frank Morano. Congresswoman Malliotakis notes that Frank “..is a dear friend and somebody who loves Staten Island, loves NYC, and will be a great advocate for our community, and will fight for the things that truly matter.”

As the lone Republican congressional representative member from NYC, Rep. Malliotakis notes the critical relationship she would have with future councilmember Morano, in that he would be “..a great partner for me, and I look forward to working with him..” These bonds, between municipal and federal government representatives are crucial for ensuring that constituents have their needs answered, and critical legislation enacted.

What makes the endorsement of Rep. Malliotakis all the more important is her close affiliation with GOP leadership that is allied to President Trump. Issues such as congestion pricing, bridge tolls, property taxes and more, while being city and state issues, benefit from a friend in the federal government. Especially a federal government that has won the mandate of the American people. A Frank Morano victory with Rep. Malliotakis representing Congressional District 11 in New York represents a win-win for all New Yorkers.

Nicole Malliotakis served in the New York State Assembly for five terms. In the State Assembly, Nicole was the leading voice against corrupt former Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver and his criminal conduct. Nicole also successfully sued the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to expose records that should have been public and she was the leading proponent of property tax reform in New York City. Recovery from Hurricane Sandy was a hallmark of her tenure as a member of the State Assembly, as her district, which encompassed the eastern shore of Staten Island, was among the hardest hit by the October 2012 storm. In 2017, she was elected to represent New York’s 11th Congressional District that spans parts of Brooklyn and the entirety of Staten Island.
